Most shops eyeball it. We scan it. Drive through the Argus scanner and every panel on your car is captured in one pass, so your claim is built on the real damage instead of somebody's best guess. Free, no obligation, and you leave with the number the same visit.

Every hail estimate starts the same way. Somebody has to find every dent, on every panel, and write down how big each one is. That list is the estimate. Your carrier pays from the list, the technician works from the list, and a dent that never made the list is a dent nobody is going to fix.
So the only question that matters is how the counting gets done.
The old way is a person, a flashlight and a walk around the car. Hail does not cooperate with that. A dime-sized dent in a flat hood is close to invisible head on and obvious from six inches to the side, so what gets counted depends on where the estimator was standing, how good the light was, and how much time they had. On a car carrying four hundred dents, how much time they had is doing an enormous amount of work.
The Argus is a scanning arch. The car and the arch pass through each other while a calibrated light pattern is projected across the bodywork and cameras read how that pattern behaves on the surface. A flat panel returns straight lines. A dent bends them. The machine measures the bend.
Out of one pass comes a panel by panel map: where each dent sits, how wide it is, how deep it goes, and how many are on that panel. Not an impression of the damage. A count of it.
That is the whole trick, and it is not a claim anybody can make with better ad copy. Either the machine is in the building or it is not.
No appointment needed. Call ahead if you would rather pick a time.
Every panel captured, with 100% accurate, insurance-grade documentation.
Built from the scan, the same visit. If you want to file, we handle the carrier from there.
The scanner running. Tap to play with sound.
It means the file that goes to your carrier is measurements rather than adjectives. Dent counts per panel, sizes, depths, and the imagery behind them, in a form an adjuster can open and check for themselves.
That matters at two moments. When the estimate is first written, because a documented count is a harder thing to trim than a guess. And halfway through a repair when a supplement comes up, because the answer is already in the file instead of being reconstructed from memory.
What we will not tell you is what your carrier is going to approve. Nobody honest can promise that. What the scan does is make sure the damage on record is the damage on the car, which is the only part of it we control.
A number you can defend beats a number you liked the sound of. Get the car documented before you decide anything about a claim, because until the damage is counted you are guessing at whether filing is even worth it.
A dent map of your vehicle. Panel by panel, counted and measured rather than estimated by eye.
A written estimate built from it. In your hand before you leave, not emailed to you in three days.
The real timeline. Most repairs finish in 2 to 7 days, and you get your exact window before we take your keys.
A straight answer on the money. $0 out of pocket on most claims, and the exact figure up front if your carrier is the exception.
Nothing. There is no scan fee, no inspection fee, and no obligation attached to any of it. You can take the estimate, drive home, and think about it for a week.
If you do decide to repair, $0 out of pocket on most claims. Hail is a comprehensive claim, we bill your carrier direct, and most carriers waive the deductible on paintless repair, because a paintless file runs light on supplements and finishes cheaper than replace and respray. If your carrier does not waive it, you get the exact number before any work starts, not after. The whole sequence is laid out on the hail claim process page.
At the shop, at 426 Miami St in Leavenworth, and that is the only place customer vehicles get scanned. The machine needs the space and the lighting of a proper bay, and neither of those fits in a driveway. If you own the car, this is the address.
Drivers come to us from across the metro for it, and a scan you can hand to an adjuster is worth the drive. More on the shop and the city it sits in on the Leavenworth hail repair page, more on the business itself on the about page, and if you would rather start with a couple of questions than a drive, the free estimate takes about two minutes. The short version of all of it is on the home page.

It is a measured survey of your vehicle's panels. The Argus scanner projects a calibrated light pattern across each panel and reads how that pattern bends. A flat panel returns straight lines and a dent bends them, so the machine can record where every dent is, how wide it is and how deep it goes. What comes out is a panel by panel dent map, which is what your estimate is written from.
Yes. There is no scan fee, no inspection fee, and no obligation to file a claim or book a repair afterwards. You can take the estimate and go think about it.
The pass itself is minutes. Plan on about ten minutes from pulling in to having a full estimate in your hand, because the estimate is built from the scan while you wait rather than emailed to you later.
No. Drive in during shop hours at 426 Miami St, Leavenworth, KS. You can also call (913) 907-5180 and pick a time if you would rather not wait behind another car on a storm week.
That is what it is built for. The scan produces 100% accurate, insurance-grade documentation: counts, sizes and depths per panel with the images behind them, in a form an adjuster can open and check. We do not promise what a carrier will approve. What the scan does is make sure the damage on record is the damage on the car.
Yes, and that is the order we recommend. Until the damage is counted you are guessing at whether filing is even worth it. Get scanned first, then decide with a real number in front of you.
The scanner lives at the Leavenworth shop, and every customer scan happens there. The machine and the lighting it needs do not fit in a driveway. If you own the car, 426 Miami St is where it gets scanned.
Cars, trucks and SUVs all go through the same way, steel or aluminum. The scan documents what the storm did. Whether every dent on the map can be fixed without paint is a separate question, and we answer it at the estimate rather than after your car is apart.
Every dent on record, your claim built on hard data, insurance handled. You drive out with your estimate the same visit.
