2. Check your declarations page for comprehensive. Hail falls under comprehensive, not collision. Comprehensive is optional coverage in Kansas, though nearly everyone financing or leasing carries it. The mistake that costs the most

Hail estimates are built from a panel-by-panel dent count. Eyeballing a hood in a parking lot and counting it properly under raking light produce very different numbers, and the difference is often thousands of dollars. A technician works each dent back to its original shape from behind the panel, reading the surface through a light board. No filler, no sanding, no repaint. Your factory finish is never touched, which matters more than most people think at trade-in, because a paint-depth reading on a resprayed panel follows the car forever.
Where PDR stops: cracked or chipped paint, torn or badly stretched metal, panels with previous body filler, and areas with no access behind them. We will tell you when that is the case rather than take the job and hand back something we are not proud of.
Timelines, and the drive
Most vehicles are finished inside a week once they are with us. Severe damage, or panels waiting on parts, take longer. You get the honest timeline when we document the car, not after you have handed over the keys.
